I have used a variety of stoppers and have different stoppers for each type of bottle. This stopper is the best of all of them, I use it for liquor, wine, champagne...I can stand the bottle up, lay it down, it doesn't matter. The flip top action with the rubber construction is the most effective stopper out there!

I use this stopper on my 1 liter glass sparkling water bottles. It seals tight and it has a very solid construction and is very easy to flip up and down. It can be a little hard to remove because of the tight fit and it can be scary loud the way the bottle pops when it comes out but you know it works. The other stoppers out there don't work and/or wear out very fast.
It didn't hold the pressure on a 1.5 liter plastic bottle probably because the bottle mouth was too wide. I kind of doubt that it would be effective on champagne bottles. I'm pretty sure it would work on 1 liter/32 oz or less glass carbonated drinks, though.

It does what it's supposed to do, plus it's easy to clean and easy to find in my junk drawer.

As stated in the title-- don't waste your time on this one. It doesn't clamp adequately --frequently tilts within the bottle neck. Hence no seal. It doesn't fill enough of the bottle neck to seal.

Ever loose the cork? You will need one of these, note after several uses it starts to loose its zip but for $2 bucks its cheaper then ruining a bottle or 2 of wine.
