practically indestructible butter dish Jul 30, 2010
We love our beehive butter dish so much we bought an extra one! Pros: practically indestructible, clear so it looks clean, able to tell how much butter is in it at a glance, upper rack dishwasher safe, easy to remove lid with one hand (with knife in the other). Cons: if first stick is not completely gone, adding a new stick of butter will cause the lid to sometimes contact the butter-- better to buy two dishes at this low price, to have a clean one at the ready for the new butter stick.

It was exactly what I was looking for -- something that didn't look and or feel cheap.
If fact it's quite elegant.

I was looking for this style in glass and could not find it. I'm very please with this dish. The quality is excellent and the style is just the 'retro' look I was looking for.

Finally, a good looking and unbreakable butter dish. I have gone thru 5 glass dishes that do not look any better that this plastic one.

Very durable dish with a nice presntation. As a rule, if you're not sure, hand-wash. I hand-wash all acrylic to keep it warp free and looking sparkling clear. The dish is a little on the pricy side, but the size and quality are well worth it.
