Next Best Thing to Glass Jul 26, 2010
By D. Harkins I bought these primarily based on the picture, since no one had reviewed them yet. Upon receiving them, I am not disappointed.
These look about as close to glass as you can get without actually being glass. There is a vertical seam, but it is hairline thin and you have to look pretty close to see it. They are thick-walled (a little more than 1/16" thick) and "hefty" as unbreakable stemware goes. The stem is solid, not hollow. Of course, they don't weigh as much as they would if they were glass, but they are as heavy as some of the thinner walled glassware. When they are new, they are crystal clear, just like glass. You will know by the weight and feel that you are not drinking from glass, but a casual observer would probably assume you were drinking from glass.
I measured the capacity and they do indeed hold 10oz when filled to within 1/2" to the top. I checked them because they seemed a little larger than I was expecting. They are 8 5/8" tall and the outside diameter at both the rim and base is 3 1/8". At their widest point, they are slightly wider than that, but I can't get an accurate measurement there.
These are very good quality and I am pleased with my purchase.

Stunning wine glasses for outdoor use Jun 18, 2011
By G. Stevens We've bought lots of plastic wine glasses for outdoor use over the years, and these are, hands-down, the nicest. These are heavy and substantial feeling, with no rough edges around the rim. There is a visible seam, but it's understated. The clarity and refraction of the plastic is really stunning, in some ways more attractive than glass. These glasses are on the large size. I can't say how they will hold up in the dishwasher, because they're too tall to fit on our top rack.
Overall, I am quite impressed, and we will be buying more.

By Diego Banducci I bought two of these for myself, because I'm a klutz and tend to drop things. As the other reviewers point out, these glasses are of high quality and virtually indestructible. To achieve that effect, however, their sides are substantially thicker than I expected. For that reason, they are also heavier than I expected -- not for people who drink wine with their pinkies extended.
If you're thinking about buying them, order 1 or 2 first to see if you like them.

Fabulous wine glasses Jan 31, 2012
By Lynnsay A. Megargle These wine glasses are the best. My sister-in-law received them as a gift and I just had to have them too. They are made of a high quality plastic and the weight makes them stable even with the stem. I have broken so many wine glasses over the years but now I don't have to worry about being careful with them when taking them out of the cabinet, leaving them where the cats or grandkids might knock them over, or when they are being washed. I highly recommend these glasses.

Good for the clumsy drinker Dec 29, 2011
By Drubel Purchased this item as a little joke for my dad, who has broken several glass wine glasses. He has used it many times and it really is 'unbreakable' - at least from the standpoint and usage of a 70 year old! Although it is dishwasher safe, other items in the dishwasher can scratch the product so I recommend hand washing only.
