4Not a Monopole!  Jul 05, 2010

Don't get me wrong, it works, but not as elegantly as my old chrome Monopole Ahh-So!

5Very effective  Mar 06, 2010

Takes quite a bit of getting used to the technique, but it works very well once you have mastered it. Good design and construction.

5Need your wine opened?  Mar 16, 2012
By J. W. Charles "x69cancer"
This thing will do it. I will say it works much better on natural cork than rubber, as it has a tendency to push the rubber corks used in many wines these days down into the bottle. Not a knock on this product, but this design in general. This product is durable and has opened many wine bottles over the last six months. You insert it with a walking or rocking motion until it is in, and then twist and slowly pull up to use.

3prong cork puller  Mar 02, 2012
By K. Sanborn "bridge champ"
I have used many types of corkscrews and pullers, but this one seems flimsy and does not seems to have the leverage of the better devices.

5Perfect for the broken cork  Dec 13, 2010
By J. Brown
I learn about these ingenious little devices while visiting some wineries in Napa, CA. Our tour guide had one of these sitting on the table and we asked him about it. He proceeded to push a cork half way in the bottle and break it off. As many people probably know, at this point, a corkscrew is a bad idea. With a corkscrew you will either go the entire way through the cork, or not go far enough, and you'll just worsen the situation.

This puller, when slid in correctly (rocking back and forth), you will be able to pull any cork, no matter how damaged.

For a couple of dollars, it's a good backup for opening those stuck bottles of wine. This should be in the home of any avid wine drinker.

As far as built quality, I have no issues with it. The handle could be bigger, but I haven't had an issue, and I have fairly large hands.
