 Not exactly heavy-base May 26, 2010

Although they are advertised as "heavy base" they feel just like any other acrylic cup/glass. The base is not noticeably heavier although it probably wont tip over from a slight nudge. They are a little pricey for what you get, Im sure you could pick up a comparable set of 4 at WalMart for $5. The quality doesnt justify the price, they're "average"
Update 5/4/11: After less than a year of use small cracks have started to form on these glasses. I only hand wash them so I was disappointed to see these appear. Would not purchase again.

I don't know what everyone else got in the mail, but I received what looks like used cups. They were scratched, chipped and look like someone threw used clear cups in a box. I can not tell you have very disappointed I am. I wanted them for a gift, but I will look for something nicer.

I bought a set of 18 oz glasses for outdoor dining and needed some smaller ones for the grandchildren. These are the perfect size. The glasses are perfectly clear, feel good in the hand and won't break so they're especially good for the kids, both inside and out. Acrylic glasses are BPA free so I'm happy about that. They do not add any plastic'y taste to the contents, even after the contents have sat in them for some time. I left an unfinished glass of water on my table last night and it tasted just as fresh this morning. These do well in the dishwasher (I have only used the top shelf) and have a very slightly indented base that helps with stability. I highly recommended these glasses for al fresco dining and kids anytime.
