These acrylic hors d'oeuvre trays are very sturdy and have more uses than just for hors d'oeuvres. I got them to hold my scrubbing pads and hand soap near my kitchen sink so that the counter would not constantly have marks on it. They work well for that. Also I use them for a nightstand coaster to hold a glass or spoon from getting watermarks on the wood.
They do scratch easily, as almost any acrylic does, so even if you use them for food and run a knife or folk under they will get scratches. Also they will clean in the top of a dishwasher if you do not mind terrible water spotting. But they still are a useful little item.
