Not 24". OK product but wrong description. Mar 20, 2012

I was looking for a 24 inch diameter item to cover my round ottoman, so this seemed like a cool idea. The product description says 24", but the item is about 21.5". So it's too small for me, as it looks silly on the ottoman. Also the one that I received did not have a cool looking stamp (like the one in the picture). And the picture also makes it seem like the wood is sealed or waxed in some way. Mine looks like the wood was left raw, although I am not entirely sure.
It's a very heavy lazy susan with a high profile because the wood is thick, and there are additional pieces of wood attached to the bottom--it appears to keep the strips of top section strips of good together. While the top has clearly been sanded, it looks like they left the bottom as is because you can see the red wines stains and the smell lingers, which I like. It also leaves the bottom rough because the wood did not undergo additional sanding. They also put some round felt pads on the bottom, which is thoughtful.
It's a simple, reasonably nice looking piece. I like that it's oak and am happy to support made in the USA, but it just doesn't fit....
Kind of hassle to return because it's so heavy (and the way-too-big box fell part during delivery), but I can't use it at all.... Very disappointed that the wrong dimensions were given in the description!
