I bought this as a gift for my dad and have used it several times in his decanter (as shown on the advert). I have found the brush to be exceptional. It easily bends to the contour of the decanter while staying put when exerting some pressure for the cleaning. He has been very happy with the brush as well.

This brush does a good job of cleaning some sections of a decanter, but doesn't completely cover all of the interior. It works well, but a redesign (perhaps making it a bit more pliable) would make it perfect.

Good for oil bottles, too Feb 21, 2010

Bought this brush to clean out some oil bottles I'd had on the kitchen counter, and it got 98% of the gunk out of the corners and the inside of the necks (much better than soap or grease-cutting cleansers did on their own). Used it wrapped in a paper towel to dry 'em out afterward, which also worked well.
And yes, it also does a great job on our wine decanter!

the "brush" (it's really a bunch of foamy shapes on a wand) does not reach all areas of my decanter, there is no way to really control where it goes when I push it in further and it bends. it's hit & miss, depending on the shape of decanter you own it might do a great job - or not... my decanter is rather wide with a really narrow neck, and an indentation in the bottom.
