I bought these glasses to ship to a villa we rented on vacation, since we were celebrating a couple birthdays at the time.
These glasses look great and are handy around the pool, since they aren't likely to shatter like glass, but there's a couple of drawbacks.
The rim won't hold the salt like real glass does.
Also, when we shipped them back home, the base broke off one. But this probably wouldn't be an issue for most people.
While we don't use them often, they do look as nice as real glass when they're on the shelf. They don't seem to scratch very easily, at least not in our experience. But unless you're using them poolside, you may wish to buy real glass just so your lime juice and salt will stick.
